I get about 80 miles to a tank of gas.(10.6gal tank) is this normal? Does it need new reed valves or cleaning? any ideas. Sled runs good. Track is adjusted to spec. Has 3600 miles.

does that sled have reed valves? I've got a 99 formula Z 500 thats got a rotory valve and got about the same mileage. I ended up changeing the needle jets to one size smaller. From a 480-Q3 to a 480-Q2. The mileage doubled and it runs nice and crisp from idle to half throttle, where as before the engine would bubble and burble and puke fuel untill you got past half throttle. Hope this helps
