Hello again, I hope everyone is enjoying the spring conditions!
I'm trying to remove the driven pulley from a 1996 summit 670. The service manual says to remove the screw holding it to the countershaft, remove the driven pulley. I removed the screw and belt, the pulley will not budge. It seems as though something else might be holding the pulley or it is seized on the shaft. Is there another bolt to remove or should I try putting heat on the pulley and if so where should I put the heat in order to not damage the pulley. Any information or leads would be greatly apprecaited, thanks.

hmmmmm..... I'm new to this sled Ive only had mine for a month now check your piston conditions... if rusted/corroded get new bore kits and also check where the rods connect to your crankshaft they might be stuck/rusted shut, Very nice sled I was happy with mine I crashed and now i need a new throttle cable and steering column and a ski probably... Anyways Other than all that, thats all I can think of that you need to do... But ask other guys before you do anything they might be a bit smarter...

Happy Sledding,
Jared

I did the same thing on an arctic cat jag. All I had to do was unscrew the bolt and then, If I remember right, I had to hit the collar of the pulley using a screw driver and a hammer to get it to come off. Obviously if its just a little rusted add some grease when you put it back on too.
Good luck, Dave
