here in indiana summer it is about 80 degre. and i started up my sled 1980 arctic cat el tigree after sitting most of the summer it fiered right up fist pull but it ran like crap it would not want to go over 4000 rpm it just felt like the pulgs where fould. new plugs same thing just seems like its way to rich? cleaned carb. same problem. is this the way all sleds are in the summer way rich? or do i have a problem? that needs to be fixed cuz i hate working on that thing in the cold!

You are definitely running rich. In the summer on some of my sleds, I will lower the needle jet one notch just to be able to move the sleds around. I wouldn't be too concerned unless you still have the problem when it gets cold. If you do move the e-clip on the needle, don't forget to put it back where it belongs come winter or you will be burning lean!

ok thanks cuz it was running good last winter now it has been running like crap i will just wait and see how it is in the winter

I have always been told through my life, "lean is fast". there is a fine line between fast and burndown also. one thing to keep in mind if it gets faster or runs better as the temps go down it is rich. if my sled is rich for the temps I ride most I will lean it out. remembering that if it gets cold I will have to fatten it back up. now the dpm comes into play, gotta love it. leave it where its at and let pressure in the carb lean it out. most live with the rich burble in throttle, I cannot.

They're always fastest just before the burndown ;)
