I intended to purchase a VK 540 in 2001. The VK is the choice of most Northern snowmobilers who want a machine to break trails, and use for all around utility and touring .
But we have a great Polaris dealer in our area, and I was already hooked on the Sportsman, so I ended up with a LX Wide Trak. I'm not dispointed, it's a great utiltiy machine; but I am curious as to how it compares to the VK in performance and comfort. Unlike uitility ATVs, the utility snowmobiles are barely mentioned in the magazines.
I would appreicate comments from anyone who has experience with both machines.
