whats the difference in clutch spring colors? I have a red spring on a 2001 edge 800. Wanted to know if changing colors would make any difference.

The springs are color coded based on the initial force, fully shifted force, and rate of the spring. If you want to increase the engagement RPM, putting in a spring with a greater initial force and about the same final force would do that. If you wanted to decrease engine RPM at engagement, putting in a spring with less initial force and about the same final would do that.

Usually, when you change springs, you have a performance goal in mind. After you determine what your sled isn't doing that you want it to do, changing springs can help you get there.
