i have a 92 exctier that dose not have much top end power or speed at about 5500 it just tops out. It has 120psi compression carbs are clean and jetted right would the cdi box on this sled produce these symptoms of loss of power at higher rpms

i would look at the clutching. dirty clutches, sacked primary spring, or worn belt is more normal than cdi issues, assuming the engine is not cutting out.
