Hi guys,

I broke down on a ride last night, and found out that my entire jackshaft popped out from the left side of the tunnel. It looks like there may be a bearing race still attached to the part of the shaft that came out. I'm pretty new to sledding and working on these, so not sure what the heck happened. Do I just need to rebuild the driveshaft bearing and get the jackshaft back in place? Also, when I bought the sled the speedo didnt work, which I'm hearing is a bad drive bearing also.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

thx

Hopefully you have resolved the issue by now. The answer is yes you need to put in a new bearing. Also check the chaincase end to make sure no damage in there.

Retired Pop- 1st you are the only one who basically responds, I thank you-class act!

Yes- spent many hours and figured out that blew the bearings completely out, and am almost done fixing it...replaced everything in or near the jackshaft. 1st snowmobile, but definately learning alot as I go...

Thanks
