we have a 02 380 that is a royal pain to start. to here is the deal on cold starts you have to pull and pull tell the point your arm is layn on the ground next to the sled, its done this since it was new so i have replaced plugs many times now cant get it to start to save my life. anyone else had this problem with there ski doo's? and answers would be great thanks fellow sledheads:cussing:

well i have a 98 670 that is a bear to start also i would check into getting a primer for it other wise i just pulled the air box off spray ether (starting fluid) into it and it fires right up even though ether isnt the best to start a 2 stroke with, so i under stand but i havent had a problem with it in at least 75 to 100 starts (cold that is) i think its better than ripping your arm off and yes the pistons and compression are still fine

I have a 95 skidoo formula z and is a bitch to start..i also have a primer and i usally have a friend hold the throttle open half way and it will start right up. ski doo's also like fouling plugs so make sure you have fresh plugs... goodluck..

All of the above sounds like carb issues.
When was the last time they were pulled off and cleaned?
Pilot jets are the main cause of rough and no starts, make sure you pull them during the cleaning process.
