will i burn out the motor or clutches if my snowmobile engages at 5500 rpms?
is this ok or should i worry about something?

What sled?

High engagement won't hurt the engine, and usually won't hurt the clutches. If you ease into the throttle with a high engagement, you may burn up a belt. Usually a sled that is set up to engage at that RPM will have a very sudden and harsh engagement to get a better hole shot for racing...

i was just wondering because when i bought the sled it came with a drag racing set up for the clutches that was not installed, i installed it and 5500 engagement just seemed high. It is on a 1995 formula ss 670. thank you very much for the input.
