I have a 2000 Polaris Indy 500 that starts and idles fine, runs great at high RPM, but bogs out from a stop and runs rough at lower RPM. Died out this weekend on a slow trail, sat for 30 minutes and eventually started back up. Plugs are new, carb is unknown. Sled is new to me part of a package deal. Seems like it's running rich? At the low end, once warm if you touch the choke it dies immediately. Any help is appreciated.

i have a 02 indy had the same problem. check and make sure that the carbs are clean of old fuel and gunk then also check when you have the carbs of look in the hole of the carb boot and take a look at the piston skirts and see if the are missing. mine broke the piston skirts of and ran like that made it run like a lean situation.

Sounds like me and and bottle of carb cleaner get to spend some quality time this weekend. Also going to tweek the pilot screw. Running very rich, plugs are black after idel, so I may start there and get that leaned out and balanced with the idle, and go from there.

Thanks
