My 2001 zx 600 is haveing problems with the idle. Stopped at local dealer and they said that there has been a big problem on 2001 with the slides sticking and wanting to stay ideled up. Sounds like should be a recall. Just wanted to see how many other sleds were doing this.

All our 02's idle high. There is no inbetween with idle adjustment. Idle high, easy to start , adjust to idle low and its hard to start. * But really, how much time do we spend idling anyways. * I just wait a few seconds after stopping and give it a wee blip. *It usually drops right down to 1700rpm. * My mechanic says they are only carbs do you want me to set them up to go fast or to idle good? *http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

All of the guys I ride with that have the series 3 motors idle high at first then settle down to where they need to be. *If you are concerned about the high idle give it a little choke to bring it back down. *But if it settles down after warming up or choking it is fine. *This is a normal operating procedure.

I was having the problem of the idle not wanting to come down to normal. *I richened the airscrews a bit and now it comes down much quicker. *
Give that a try.
