Have a 96 MXZ that we are changing to a 136" track w/2" paddles but the padlles rub. Have the donor machine that has 6" dia drivers but the spline end of shaft is twisted. Both shafts are 1 1/4" hex but not sure of proceedure to remove drivers from shaft. Looks like they just press off??? We have a press, any tricks to this proceedure?
Thanks

Word of caution. Once a used driver is pressed of the shaft it should not be re-used. You need to replace the drivers with new ones.

What is rubbing with the 2" track?
Some sleds have a couple of protectors over the heat exchanger to keep studs from punching holes in them. I am assuming you don't have studs in a 2" paddle track. If it is just the protectors rubbing you could remove them and not mess with changing the drivers.
Also remember switching to smaller drivers changes the gear ratio of the drive train - keep that in mind when you re-gear for the bigger track.

How does the gearing work out. Thot the smaller dia. driver compensated for the height of the paddles so that overall final drive worked out about the same. Machine had a 1.25or 1.5" paddle on it before so it would seem that an aprox. 1" drop in dia. would equal out to approx. .50" taller track as in .50" on top and .50" on bottom which equals the aprox 1" difference???? Or is the track speed based on the surface of the track as it rotates on theouter surface of the driver or on the top of the paddle where it meets the snow???
Thanks
