hi guys - does anyone know if there is any way of checking an oil sensor switch to see if it is defective? My oil light is stuck on and I am hoping it is the sensor, but would love to check it before going out and replacing it.
thanks, guys

You should be able to pull out the tube, that has the oil sensor in it. Basically a magnet on a float if I remember from my AC days.
It should pull out of your oil tank, then just by turning it over, you can simulate full or empty oil levels.
If you have a manual, it should explain this better than I seem to be doing.

I ride with a guy that has a 550 panther. Last season he had the same problem. Arctic cat told him to tap the sensor with a hammer (Very lightly) becasue sometimes it gets stuck.
It fixed it a few times but eventually it got stuck and he replaced the sensor...
