can anyone tell me witch stud is longer out of a 1.175 or a 1.25

I would say the 1.25 is a longer stud. I looked out at wiem.com (Woody's site) and the don't have the 1.25 listed.

is the way I read it.

think of it this way a 1.175 is 117.5 % of 2 inches and 1.25 is 125% of 2 inches therefore the 1.25 is bigger... but there is not a significant difference
