What is the difference between XLT SP, XCR, XC 600 engines? Are the gaskets, pistons the same? If so why does Polaris list so many different engines? Is the bore and stroke all the same?

XLT = Piston port tripple/XCR = case port (reed valve) tripple/XC = twin

Not a lot of similarity in their designs.

XLT/XCR both are piston ported engines - depending on the year, one may have a 34mm while the XCR uses 38mm carbs and more agreesive porting. XCR SP version uses case reed engines. WL
