I have the same sled. I bought a clutch off ebay. It was advertized as a 2000 700 clutch. When I got the clutch there was junk yard paint marker on it saying it came off a 99. The main spring is differnt. The steel used to make the spring is not round in this clutch but the color. It looked the same otherwise. Installed it on the sled and seams to be working normaly. So one off a 99 will work. As far as I can tell

As long as it is a Polaris P-85 clutch it should work but the spring is different in each model.

Not all P-85s are the same. The older P-85s (pre 1997) used a different bolt and puller than the 2000 year and the 1997 700 was a different one altogether. The clutches will fit but since the bolts are different you will run into problems pulling them off with the standard pullers. I have the old style (1982-1996) and the one for the 1998-2010 liberty engines and I can't begin to pull the one from the 97 700 twin engine.
