I hope someone can enlighten me. I found this '94 (Manufacture Date 8/1994) Wild cat 700 efi mountaincat for $250, 1600 miles, excellent compression, clean, and the clutch is laying in the bellypan w/ the end of the crank still in it. The crankshaft broke 'bout 1" outside the case.
I'm pretty mechanical & will do all the work, and found that they sell the crank in 3 parts, Left-center-right.
Is it wise to think I can purchase & install just that portion of the crank...or do I need to count on buying the whole crank.
Al's Snowmobile has a whole 3 piece used one for $300+, the same amount as the side I need if I buy it new.
I'm just assuming by the pull rope (good compression) pulls smoot. I won't know 'til I break it open what I might find.
I'm more asking this in good faith to qualm the wife, she doesn't understand why, at 53 yrs. old, that I need another sled.
Thanx in advance for any imput.
