I only have 58 miles on it so far and I am fairly pleased. Traded a 2005 xcsp 700 for this sled. So far it will only reach 88 mph on top end (on hard pack snow) and the max engine rpm seems to be 8150.The sled is bone stock with the exception of 96 studs in track. I expected more from the clean fire 600 but it is not totaly broke in yet. My '05 700 was stock with 96 studs and it's top end was 100-105 mph at 8250-8300 rpm. I am still using up the first tank of gas thats mixed with oil. I am a little concerned that the track tension is a little to tight. Any insight from the group would be great. Thanks!

I know the 800 has programming in the ECU to limit power until 4 hours have been put on the engine as a break-in feature. Your 600 may be the same way.

Just got back from ride between Mt Laurie Quebec, Canada to Lake Saint Jean (around Roberval) and logged 1,051 miles in 5 days. Conditions were good but trails were icy all the way. The 2011 600 shift ran awesome. Any performance questions I had during the break in period are now put to rest. At Relais 22, I got a top speed reading of 106 mph with 35 pounds of extra gear for the trip with me on the back of the sled. Here is my current problem. The freestyle seat is the most uncomfortable, hard/stiff, seat I have ever had on any Polaris in my life!! My 1977 John Deere Spitfire had a softer seat! After a 200 mile plus day, my hips and rear end are very sore. I realize this is not a touring sled but I have rode these kind of miles with xc700's, 600's, xlt's, indy 500's and never felt this kind of discomfort. The comparable skidoo's, arctic cats, and yamaha's all have softer seats than this. What is the deal here? Are there any options from Polaris or an outside company? Is the seat from an earlier IQ 600 any softer?, will it fit? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.
