Recently overhauled an 82 enticer 250. Had many problems with the keihin carb that came on it and everyone told me to replace with a different carb. Was told to use one from 94 bravo and worked beautifully. Installed a new kill switch and ignition (old one did not work at all) and now machine backfires through carb. Could kill switch or ignition be causing this or just a coincidence and actually have a different problem? Any thoughts? THANKS!!!!!
it sounds to me like ur new carb is getting too much fuel and notburning it fast enough... this could or couldnot be y it backfires another possibility would be too big of a fuel pump for the bravo carb... if you can get the fuelpump off the same sled that the carb came off from, try that and maybe that will do the trick. hope this helps good luck!
