Hi.. just changed belt on my sx 700 r (7400miles). noticed some play while rotating primary clutch. feels like play is internal. Sled works great, but hesitant to drive it now. Could this possibly be rod bearing wear. about 1/16" movement while rotating clutch. checked an arctic cat sled and there is no movement at all. Do I have problems or is this normal .. thanks for any help
checked clutch again tonight and it now appears to be just movement in the clutch itself.... is it possible for the clutch to have play. Seems like the play is between clutch and crankshaft.
the bushing in the center of the clutch could be gone and the clutch has to be spun apart to be changed or the clutch could be loose or ur crankshaft where it tapers to go into the clutch is broken
removed clutch tonight... everything seems fine with clutch. But, when I turn the crank I hear a noise internal. It seems the crank turns a couple degrees before pistons move. the noise seems to be coming from farthest cylinder from clutch side. think I might have to tear it down.
