I recently acquired a 95 rxl 650 touring with the efi package.
It is only running on 2 cyls the one that is not firing is the one furthest from the clutches so I believe that is cyl 1 if not mistaken from reading some of your other posts.
I went and got a used but working when pulled computer and tried to see if that was the issue. Same code same issue. The sled will run but if you try to drive it it just bogs down. The code that is flashing is 21 which i believe is injector failure for that cyl. So I got a used but working injector as well.
Then I noticed that the voltage regulator glows red when the sled is running I do not think it is suppose to do that but I do not know for sure. (have not replaced yet)
Then I pulled the 3 resistors 2 blue 1 red and cleaned the ends but that brought no luck.
So then I began to tear the wiring harness apart because there were some electrical mods done to the sled for accessories and I thought maybe the wires were corroded that is when I traced the injector wires to the Dropping resistor near the front of the sled. That has a part # of a15-000R02 this looks really band and is full of rust at the end lacking the cables.
I also there is a small button that does something with the fuel pump and one of the cables broke off that so I will be fixing that as well.
I was wondering what your thoughts are and if there is anywhere to get that dropping resistor and the red resistor as dealers no longer show them as being available.
