Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew the compression test reading I should be getting from this 1996 Yamaha VMax XT 600. I am getting a reading of 103.5 on both cylinders. Is this on the low side?

If you didn't warm it up a bit, before doing the compression check it maybe ok.
If you did than,, it is on the low side,,drop some oil down the cyl.
If it goes up ten psi than you should just need pistons and rings.

Normal is 110 to 120 for a used sled.

The sled was cold when I tested (dry) I guess I should have done another test when it was a little warm. I will give it another go.
