My buddy has a 02'ZR800 [put about 1,700 mi on it last year and the clutch is alredy out of it. Completely stock sled, trail ridden. Is this common and if so do the Firecats have the same clutch. I ride a Polaris now and have thought about a F7 but not if the clutch problems have not bee addressed. Thanks fo any info? :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:

Explain what you mean by the clutch is out of it.
If your refering to weight bushings/pins worn who cares easy to change and costs very little. As with any highperformance part the clutch needs to be cleaned on a regular basis to ensure peak performance while minimizing wear.
My 02 800 has 2300 miles on it, clutch checks out mint.

:)

If a ZR800 clutch is bad , always check crank runout. There are many with runout .008-010. This will shake clutch a apart ;)

How do you check clutch run out, where do you measure from?
