So I'm driving about 150 miles to look at a 2007 venture lite with 2500 miles tomorrow morning. He just had it serviced and the dealer said it had bad gas and they also changed the plugs for $300.00 and he said it runs good now. What should I look for, for possible problems? I typically do a compression test but getting to the plugs is a nightmare and I should be able to get a good idea on my test ride if the motor is strong. I will check the track out good of coarse.
Well I went and looked at it and test drove it... What a turd! I think every part made of metal had rust, ripped set, scratches, decals peeling. Ran poor, motor light flashing on dash and the yellow light flashing, at low throttle the the sled surged up and down in rpm's. I never been around a phazer or venture lite before,I couldn't believe how loud it was especially at idle. Wasn't impressed with the handling at all, every thing I read bad about it I totally agree with. I've wanted a phazer style sled since they came out and to day I was able to put that to rest. I actually came home and took my sled off Craigslist because it made me feel so much better of what I have!
