I was wondering if anybody knows how the performance of the '02 800s compared to the '01s, I know the skis and suspensions were upgraded; were there any improvements for engine/clutch performance? Which is quicker, and which is faster on stock sleds?

I had both, and my 01 was better until I got the 02 dialed in, but both sleds took alot of clutch dial in to get full benefit of the power, before dial in 700's could beat them on certain days

My 02' beat my partners 01' hands down. When we switched, he couldn't believe the dif.

my buddy has a 01' stock with 144 picks. I have a 02'stock with no picks. We raced on a packed road from a rolling 20 mph. We let out at about 90 mph and it was dead nuts even. So in my opinion there is not much difference. But the real joy was in knowing that we both waxed my brothers Pol XC800.
