I will also. I am hoping for a reasonable price and RER and at least a 1-1/4" track. I hope I am not asking for to much. HaHa

Just saw the ski doo rev on the site. *What a kick a** sled. *I'm more of a mountain rider myself, but that thing is going to kill that yamaha tank. * It's like over 100lbs lighter than than the rx-1 or whatever its called. *If they could build a mountain sled that light, I could give up my phazer. *They don't have any of the other 2003's up yet. *I'm waiting.

obimonte,
*the new rx-1 is a sled for a different role than the rev. i think. *http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

I'm waitin on the rest of the line up too. *I see they extended the end of winter sale till like the 15th. *Probobly won't have the rest of the line up till then I guess. *Waitin sux, kinda like waitin for the snow this winter. http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I saw the new REV on the Ski-Doo website. Looks like it has everything I wanted out of it, RER, 1-1/4" track option, Black in the X package, DPM, j-hooks, *but I have not seen a price yet.

mach1,
*i'm glad not everyone likes them because when i have mine on the trail i don't want to pass myself every half mile. as for the handling the proof in the pudding with the race results.
*what does # # # mean ?

ya know i just started riding a ski-doo this year after riding polaris since 1986,i love the look of the zx chassis,i love the way it rides and i was gonna buy a brand new 2003,but i'm not sure now.i like the look of the rev.but i have always hated sleds that have the windshield mounted to the handle bars, the cats on the 90's and those ugly exciters and phasers.there was nothing else really wrong with those sleds except that.and whats up with the back of the tunnel on that rev looks ugly.those are the two reasons i'll never buy one .fix that and they would be sweet. http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

I was all for this rev thing until i looked at the studio photos on the doo web site. In action these sleds look ok, but there is a shot of a black one sitting in a studio..... UGLY.. 14+ inch rear suspension sounds good, light weight, new riding position, all sound good.... but why SO much different.. and no 4 stroke??...why connect the snow flap to the suspension ( the current race revs dont have that do they?) Guess ill be doing the same as i did this year, and dump a wad of cash on my 01 800... anyone know if the M16 is going to make it as an aftermarket part? I do hope someone i know buys a rev so i can ride it.. just dont think i want it on my trailer at the end of the day... hehe

After one ride on the rev ......you will put your sled on the trailer *http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I'm wondering how this thing is going to be for guy's like myself who are over 6'.I'd like to sit on one and check out the new sitting position first. http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif It is growing on me I have to admit, but I too don't like the way the snow flap is connected.Looks real low and close to the track,I wonder when you stud the track the first time you back up will it get sucked in and shredded? http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

Sharkey

You guys, come on! The rear quarter of sled moves up and down with the suspension, and attaches to rear wheel shaft. This whole unit keeps snow off your back, and lightens machine. Also studding will be easier, you just unhooke pivoting section and you won't need to take track out to stud your sled, also it will make putting in tunnel protectors a breeze. http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

paul the ### means a$$ the moderatior changed it.as far as the handling goes i wouldnt compare race sleds to production
sleds we all now that the production sleds dont run like the race sleds we will just have to wait and see.

LONG LIVE THE TRIPPLES GIVE US A THE NEW MACHZ

No they do not think everyone wants to be a snowcross racer that is why they kept the old chassis also and no one has to buy one, but I will.

The moderator did not change it, the systeme has a database of bad words and changes them automaticaly.

As for the rev i saw morgan racing one this week-end and he started last and managed to finish in 3rd ! so that is a proof that this new rev is hot ! and yes he has the same snow flap.

Love it or hate it, give Ski-doo credit for coming up with something different. *We have 3 of the 4 mfg'rs going in different directions with new designs (who knows what Polaris is going to do - maybe sit on the Edge for a few more years). It's going to be very interesting to see what happens in the next couple of years - What works and what doesn't.
Being a Cat guy, I favor the looks of the Firecat but I like the technology that Doo's putting in the REV.
The one thing I don't like on the REV. *Unless Doo figured something out that Yamahaha and Cat didn't (no comments please), ditch the handle-mounted fairing! *Speaking from experience, I loved my '92 Wildcat except for that piece of garbage hanging on my handlebars. *It was always too close and always seemed to be in the way.

It looks to me on the REV race sleds that the snow flap just hangs off the rear around the bumper. It does not look like it pivots on the track.

From the pictures that I've seen of the REV race sled and the production sled, they have two types of snow flaps, the race sled's just hang off the back where as the production one is hooked on and articulates. The race sled's look a lot better than what we will have. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

i'm not bashing any brand here, and just so you know i own a ski-doo so no rude mail please.but blair morgan said after the x games its not the sled its the rider, second considering the tech ski-doo and cat have put into these sleds they should win .i think polaris has one hell of a race sled with the pro-x considering the money and resources they have used i think they deserve a lot of credit for making a great sled because every race i know they haven't won yet but ther never too far behind considering.second of all that stupid flap on the back of the rev is supposed *to move with the suspension right.correct me if i'm wrong.but 99% of the time i ride ice and snow builds up under there then park it for the night .everything freezes up hard.then jump on the morning when its all froze up and lets see what happens .i think that piece of junk hanging of the back be broke or bent after a couple hundred miles.but *we'll see maybe they know something i don't. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Ice won't stick to back of Rev as bad as aluminum tunnels do. The back foot of sled, *and mudflaps are not metal, the slightest tap or bump will shAKE off debris, that is why plastic ski's work, SAME THING. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
