Hi all,I was just wondering if any of you take the time when filling up at the pumps to filter your gas with anything like a funel with a screen or somthing,I heard that nylons dont allow water to pass through them does anyone no if this true?Or would it be better to use an in tank water seperater then trying to filter it out,Thanks for any sugestions SWRules

No way to totally keep water out. That is why you use Dry-gas, but you should only use the isopropyl based kind. The methanol based stuff isn't even good for the cars of today. As for nylons not letting water through, Why don't you try pouring a cup of water through some nylons and tell me they don't let water through. ;) ;) ;)

Keep your tank full (unless its summer) if you're going to let the machine sit for a while.Airspace allows for condensation in changing temperatures.We don't have to worry about temp. changes for a few months yet

Nylons do not work! They were designed for the Ladies and look great there, lets just leave it that way..
Purchase good quality gass of a known brand. Keep the tank full so it does not draw condensation through the week and when stored and you should have no problems. Been riding for over 25 years and have had no problem with water even at 59 below zero and up to 40 above..I do lift the filer out of the tank about every two to three years and clean it.
Nylons will not stop the water!!!
