I read a post somewhere about removing the white fuel filler baffle to increase tank capacity. Apparently this baffle is to help with those who overfill their tanks and have fuel flow out the vent hose, but the baffle takes away some of the capacity. This is apparently why the actual tank size doesn''t match the specs quoted last spring. Has anyone done this?

Even with that out you still only get just over 10 gals in not the 11.4 as advertised. I tried and if someone says they are getting more they had better pay closer attention because it is ABSOLUTLY IMPOSSIBLE!

I heard somewhere that if you sit on it when you fill it up, you can get more in it, becuase the gas tank extends all the way to the back.

I posted that !
I fill my tank put the cap back on stand on the sled at the back and then get off remove the cap and the gas has droped down in the tank. I think this is due to the fact that the rear of the sled sits up and you get air in the rear of the tank. ???

I have removed the baffle. Not for more room but so the gas dont splash all over when filling up the tank. :)

Hey Muskoka.doo, how did you remove the baffle, with needle nose pliers?
What town in Muskoka are you in?
