A dealer recently told me he knows of a number of guys who have gone to 500 standard main jets on the 02 800 mxz and I could safely give it a try on mine.

My sled is stock, with the exception of studs and last year's carb update.

The main concern I have is the fact that the standard jet is a 520N, or the equivalent of a 560. What a drop!!!

Anyone out their who can give me the confidence to ride this thing with these jets??? I installed them and gave it a 15 minute test run at somewhere between 15 and 20 degrees. The plugs looked to be burning fine.

I ran mine with 500's last year for about 2000 miles. Should be ok.

Did you have the updates done?

Did you run the BR9ECS plugs?

500 mains is what came in the 01's.I run the 500's in my 02 with thefoam out and have a good burn,with the timing advanced. :devil:
