I have a chance to buy an almost new Enticer II 2001 and was wondering if it would be powerful enough for two adults at trail speeds. What is it's horsepower and top speed. It is a 408 fan. Any ideas? Thanks.

It's not a very fast sled...but my girlfriend dad have one and it can go
around 80-85 km if you let it rev a lot. The gearing in it is more for towing
stuff in a sled than to be a rocket. But its a VERY reliable sled. He bought it
new in 1992 and it now shows 17000km and this with only basic
maintenance...grease it, and...that's about all... he change 2 berings in the
suspension and small spring plastic blocks and that all the fixes he had
in 17000km. He had always run with yamalube, and the higher octane
gas avilable at the pump.

As far as I know yamaha did not make a 2001 enticer? The last year they made the enticer was 1993. It had a 570 twin liguid cooled. Are you sure you have the right year?

Yamaha still makes the Enticer II 410 although not for the US

Although it is a Canadian/European model as most are bought by Trappers and fishermen :sly:

Light /dependable and great off trail riding due to its longtrack and narrow ski stance :hallo1:

The Enticer was not a LC

The 570 LC that you are refering to is a EXCITER

It should be able to take 2 people at trail speed(50-80kmph or 35-50mph) but don't expect to go over 65-70mph ;)

It's namesake used to pull......1981 Enticer 300 couldn't stop running.....rolled it over hundreds of times on the ice.....low and snow...
