We had the zrt 800 out for a service eariler this month and all it needed was a new key switch. The dealer is very good and doesn't lie about anything (actually he told me NOT to buy a firecat). Anyways he said that if you ahve a key chain on your key that it can shot the switch or something. It is because of all the vibration and added weight. To me this doesn't make much sence but this is a good dealer so I dont think hes telling us crap. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this before??

Ive never had a keychain vibrate off. Large keychains are a problem becuase they can caught on almost anything moving on your machine... I dont suggest having a janitor size keyset on your machine but i usually carry a spare car key my trailer lock key and a key to the house, with an arctic cat keychain about 2 inches long. I have never had a problem

I have my tether and my key for my 15mm cable on the ignition key ring and never had a problem.
