Do I need to split cases to change crank seals on 96 xcr600 sp?

Also, anyone know what stock jetting should be?

Yes, you need to split the crank.

Do a search on XCR set-ups in this forum, you will find several posts on this subject. Sorry I don't have time to go through all the details, but I did list them all a couple of weeks ago.

Good luck

huh i bet i have changed 100 of these on all diffrent polaris sled just pull the old one out and then i get through marshall or parts unlimitd the non lip seals the one with out the lip that gows in the cases put lock tite on it and pound it in until flush no problems i will be honest i like to split them but you can and i do it all the time without splitting it trust me its easy and works fine so i say yes you can but if time is not a issue split it and then you can reseal the case check bearings and go over it then

Do it right...split the case, or be ready to do it again.

Stock jetting for the XCR SP was 400 mains and # 40 pilot jets. Both way too fat for the sled.
