I am interested in buying a MBRP trail can for my sled and was wondering about long term effects on your sled. How long do the cans last and do you need any airbox mods while running them. I have also heard that i shoutd just cut my can open and gut it but i am a little leary of that. If anybody has any suggestions i would apprciate as i dont want waste that kind of money. And buy the way i know i wont gain much power but i am looking for a little better exhaust sound.

I put a Dne can on my 670 a couple of years ago.I believe the same people make these cans. The one that is riveted together is meant to be repacked. The one I got is welded and isn't supposed to need repacking but I think it is getting a little louder. The sled required no mods at all although I did find a little extra speed by switching my clickers up to #3 from #1 where it ran best before.I really liked the different exhaust tone and didn't really think the sled was much louder until I listened to my brother ride it back through the field behind our cottage.I'm really torn.I like the sound of it but I realize we can't make extra noise and have trails closed just because of our own selfishness.I hear we will get fine this year by the cops if we are caught here in Ontario with a modified exhaust so I may be switching back to stock. If its any consolation I think my wife's 583 sounds better stock than my 670 did even though the exhaust is supposed to be the same. ;)
