anyone know how to jet a pair of exciter sx flatslides. to run on an reguler 570 engine. need any help i can get....................................

Do you have the old carbs ? , What if you just chang the jetting to stock EX570 jetting, Sure the flat sides will flow a little more air maybe 5 to 8% more air so increase your jetting 1 to 2 sizes . Stock EX570 jetting from 1988 on is , Main 320 , pilot jet 42.5 , power jets left 160 right 200 . So take the 320 main x it by 5% = 336 main jet so put in a 340main and test it out . Mid range tuning your jet needle lower the clip all the way [ raising the needle ] . then check out your mid range . Good luck

Come to think about it .... Why do you have to chang the jetting anyways ?

I have a '93 Exciter SX. I live at about 1200 feet. I use 52.5 main jet and I also drop the needle all the way to the bottom position. It runs well from 0 to -25C. I have been ridding it like this for 5000 kms and have had no problems. :sarcasm:
