what you guys think about the new track bombardier put on the 800 mxz if they hook up great and what about the top speed with this track

my wifes 99 ho had the same track as on her new 800 mxz. i would have been happier if they put a track with all the windows open. i think the 3d window closed has alot of drag and it affects top end

Actually, I believe that the closed window track is faster because it is lighter. There is another reason that I read about but I can't think of it right now.

I had a closed window track on my 98MXZ. Had no problems whatsoever. It was supposed to be slower due to the closed window rubber rubbing on the hyfax. Baloney! It helps to keep snow on the Hyfax when you run a dry area. I replaced the track on my 02 with a 1 1/4 before I ran it, so I can't tell you if there was a diff.

You need third window closed with 1.25" tracks, both my sleds have them and it helps keep slides on your sled.
