My sled is stock.. have been serviced on the dealer this year... I was thinking this sled is more quicker... Or its just that i need to change my cltuch setting???? My friend Sxr beat me all the time on acceleration.. He have a clutch setup but i have the power no????

depends on a lot of things......wieght of drivers.........conditions of clutch if it has 4000-5000km could be ready for a rebiuld.........tracks are they both same........tempature that day will have a big impact on speed, trail gets soft. A lot of small things could add up to big difference on the same modele.

Well, all the clutch parts have been serviced.. My weight is just 180lbs,,, I have try on different temperature but not under -15 or colder...It was on hard packed trail... IT is just a clutch setting issue or what???

are yous close on top end?? if he is running a deeper lug track he would probably accelerate quicker doo to traction......but its probably good clutching.

Your sled sounds like a pooch,First thing check the crank four run out 98,s were bad for that you should use 89a10 weights load them to what helix you are running and run your rpm,s at 8400 also drop 1 tooth on the top sprocket you should be able to run 190 to 200km.

for the weight, i use 8dn00,, So, i need a new clutch setup if i understand well??? ( i use a .92 inch track)

Fortress sent u e-mail about ur srx, not sure if u got it. Yes i have a 98 srx, and it will go 110 mph easily, my sons 99 a bit faster on top end. Something definitely wrong with urs, these sleds are fast. Have crank checked both my 98 and sons 99 had to re-aligned, all 98 had the crank problem. Usually felt as vibration in sled. Have a knowledgeable dealer take a look at it. You should be killing ur buddy's yamaha with your srx. I lose a little on initial take-off, i'm told its the track and weight transfer, but mid-range and top end is awsome. good luck.

THe crank have been checked.. Anyway, i have 20000km on this SRX, so, Im sure the crank job was done.. I just discover that my track is not tight like it was to be and that i have pink secondary spring and its supposed to be red .... A wrong secondary spring can cause this???? With the current setup, i have NO BACKSHIFT, how is yours 98 SRX on that????
