I have a 98 Z 440. The problem is that it won't run all of the RPMs. It will only wind till about 6000. If it is taken slowly to that speed it runs good. If you pin it from idle, it acts as though it is being choked. When the sled is run without the boots it runs great, no problems. I got new carb boots on it and they seem to be to big, they bend a lot from the airbox to the carb. Could that restrict airflow that much? What about those POD filters, the ones that clamp to the carbs? Do they need jetting or clucthing changes?
