How fast have you guys had your 700s going on snow? When you reach these speeds, what RPM are you running at? Should I be closer to 7900 RpM or 8100 RpM on the tachometer, at which will I be making more power?

The fastest i've had mine going was about 118-120 on a very hard packed/icy road.

I also had it going ~110 on a railroad grade.

PS. *It's stock with 144 FasTrac studs.

Really? *My friend has a '98 Formula Z 670 and I have seen over 105 on his speedometer in a medium size field. *I'm sure on a lake it would register faster than that.

By all means, I'm not saying that was true speed....I'm just saying that I'm suprised that you're not seeing faster than 101 on your speedometer on a lake. *Maybe your speedo is really accurate or something.

On my 02 MXZ 700,I have seen 111 mph on my speedo @ 8000 rpms. That was on a lake with a full tank of gas,I weigh 245# *Sled has 120 Sabers.I'm sure it could faster if I good hardpack and lost some weight. http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
