love sled but cant ride in u.p. and make it gas station to gas station all i hear about is how good these sled are on gas runs great checked the plugs seem to be burning ok have 270 miles on sled and have 54-57 miles to a tank of gas? help!! taking it to dealer tommrow

:) So far I have been getting 10 to 12 mpg. 03 800 X REV.
The guys I ride with all have 600s and when we fill up I take the same or maybe one dollar more.
Now the oil on the other hand is much worse than the other guys.
We all ride the same on the trails but I always have to wait at the end of any open feilds.

Get it checked out.... The first tank was bad but now its fine.
I have 450 miles on it..

clearly your sled has a problem.

5.7 mpg is unaceptable!

I have an 800X and it is ridden very aggressively.

hard packed conditions 12.5-13 mpg

fresh snow (6+ incles) 10.5-11 mpg.

I have over 500 miles now and I take a reading at each filling and it has been very consistant.

Oil use is very low too. I will keep better track of it to get a mpg for oil too!

glad you on your way to your dealer... don't let them give you the "its a high performance sled crap!"
