I ride a 99 zr600 and have run out of gas more times than I can remember.
Changed main jets to 330's but haven't been out yet to see if they make any
difference. Considering Tour Buddy tank but have some reservations about
putting that much weight on a flimsy belt cover let alone raising center of
gravity. Anyone have one on their ride? Feedback would be much appreciated.
Light snow this morning, no accumulation on ground, trails still closed in
Sudbury, Ont. area. :(

My brothers 99ZL 600 EFI is a gas hog also. Way worse than my 680 trip/trip lol. He's thinking of a tour buddy also. They are great. The gas is siphoned out of the Tour Buddy via vacum. then the regular tank empties. So the tour buddie doesn't have gas in it for vwery long20-28 miles and then she's empty.

I've never had to worry about gas, I fill up every chance I get whether I need it or not.

I have one on my 99ZR600, its great, no problem with weight on the cover. The only comment I would make is its a bit of a pain working under there as the cover wont stay up on its own, I use a bungee to hold it. Its nice to have as this sled needs the extra fuel. :hallo1:
thought about getting won of those too, i had a 98 Ext 600 triple triple, worked very sweet but yes it liked its gas. this year i have a 02 zr 800, from what i here they are good on gas, so i may not need one. I always found with my ext, i was alright if i topped off everytime i saw a pump. some though i was crazy but hey its better running out

I have a tour buddy on my 98 zr 600 efi. The only problem I had was the fuel line had fall down and rubbed on the clutch. other than that no other problems.
