my 98 formula z 583 idles at around 1600 rpm i think this is to high because my mxz idles at 1100. what are the proper idles. any help would be appreciated. thanks

i set both of my sleds to idle around 1500. 1100 sounds kinda low

Yep, I agree with Mike, some where in the high teens works for me, I have mine set up at approx. 1800. Before that when they were set low in the 11 to 1200 range my 583 and 670 were both hard to start, set the idles up, *(which lets a little more fuel in) and now they start *real easy. good luck...DooZ
