Has anyone ever changed the front motor mount clutch side on these machines? Is it a big ordeal to perform? I have pretty good mechanical abilities, but I was told that the engine must be pulled, the oil injector lines must be pulled off, the exhaust pipes, the air box, some eletrical wires and carbs. Can anybody help out here? :( ???
Pull the pipe, leave the silencer on. Pull the carbs out of the boots, and set them aside. Dont bother disconnecting anything from them. Pull the belt. Remove all four 9/16 bolts that thread into the rubber mounts. There is one that is hidden a bit under the bracket that is attatched to the bulkhead, right in front of your secondary clutch. Now your motor is free. Pull up on the clutch side of the motor only. Bring it up about 6 inches. Use a piece of wood to hold it there, or strap it to something above. Watch for any lines or wires binding at this point. Keep in mind that the mount that has seperated, is threaded into the bulkhead. That is not a nut under it. Use a punch with a mallet to get the entire mount to turn counter-clockwise. If the mount has torn completely in half, you may have to knock off the rubber that is still there. You are looking for the metal disk that is lying flush on the bulkhead. This is what has to turn. Good luck..... Dave

There is a center to center to distance and a offset distance. There is a tool that you can measure it with for about $15US or you can use a tape and you will be pretty acurate.
