I found one of your forum posts from 2013 that tells me you might be able to help me.

My 2000 Arctic Cat Powder Special 600 (carb) has blown both the high beam bulbs on numerous occasions.

A couple of seasons ago I had a brain fart when installing a plug for my heated shield for my helmet. I spliced in a plug close to the voltage regulator but neglected to tape the connection together with electrical tape. A while down the road, the plug popped apart due to vibration and then the voltage regulator was not connected. I cooked both of my hand warmers (they were quite hot!!), my thumb warmer, my head light bulbs, and I even cooked the heated shield of my helmet. I then taped the plug back together and replaced all the blown electrical components. Does this brain fart have any connection to my present problem of repeated/habitual blown high beam bulbs?

Do I have a cooked wire somewhere? Did I cook my stator?

    Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks, did find fishing line wrapped around drive, removed it, then found the line ingested into the seal, causing leakage. Changed seal, removed all line now ready for snow.
