You really don't want to go with less than 20T on top for any application - it is too small and makes the chain bend too much to go around it. That kind of limits what kind of gear ratio you can get...

I think they are generally good sleds. If I was getting something from that era (late 90's to early 2000's) I would go with AC. They use a lot of gas and the engines only last about 5000-6000 miles...
