It's a great trail sled, my 98 has been very reliable. You will get stuck a lot if you try to do too much deep powder or any powder covered hills... the stock 121" track isn't the ticket for much off trail. I keep mine to have something for beginners to ride; it's very forgiving and easy to pull start, a great platform to learn how to ride a snowmobile.

ok thanks for the info, if i do decide to get into the powder I guess I need a different track. I mainly plan on sticking to the trails and lakes though.

You can go through some pretty deep snow with those once you get on to using the throttle. (As in keep it pinned when you are in deep snow) Once you slow down in the deep snow it won't climb out too easily. Enjoy and welcome to the wonderful world of sledding.

Put on a 1"and 1/4 camoplast ripsaw track in place of the stock one and your problems should be mostly solved, look for a used one to keep cost down.
