Anyone know a good route from grayling to kalkaska trails. Love getting over to Traverse City but would like to ride sleds and not in the truck to get there. Thanx
You can zip across south of 72,about a 11 mile stretch.
Trail 76 south of m-72 crosses Mecum rd, run that to Sigma rd. Go north to cool rd and then west which turns to Bass lk rd @66.
Run that to Randall rd into crofton@131, then N crofton rd to vroom rd which runs into the miss-kal trail.
We plan on running it the next time up, didn't get a chance to last time . The snow was better in the TC area at the time so we just stayed around there to learn the area . Even have a route planed to get over to the betsie river area too out of chums corners thats out by the Tc fair grounds ...another 11 mile stretch.
From the looks of it, I'm not the only one that didn't even ride this year at all. My sleds never left the garage, this last weekend was the first one that could have been an opportunity to ride, but I am not willing to spend the $90 on tags for one ride. Hope it gets back to normal next year, 2011-2012 the season that never was....
