Anyone mod a vintage?

Brought home a 73 Northway without a motor,,the odds of finding a reasonable 650 Hirth are little to none so thinking about building a mod using 800 twin rotax with updated front suspension and a updated rear skid,,never done one of these. After finding a donor sled how bad of a project is it or should I just sell it and save myself the headache? Any feedback would be appreciated!

Isn't the northway an engine between your legs sled,
it would be a challenge for sure ,but the 650 was a big engine so the 800 should fit.
if you can weld, and problem solve good,,give it a try.

or put in any old air cooled engine. suspension mods are fairly easy if you have a welder and chop saw.

Went and looked at a 2005 rev 800x that a guy is scraping out,,,might of found a doner sled for the project!!!!!
