track repair

I have a 162 paddle track that has one rip done a short section of the side would i be able to cut that section out completely and shorten it to say a 151 or 159 if so how would i connect the two ends? not the rest of the track is mint its just that one little section

Do you have any idea how tracks are bonded? You can't shorten it and reattach it, only a track mfg can, your track is more than likely junk
