2002 Grand Touring 447, Engine swap

Hey guys,

Recently I bought a 2002 Grand touring 447. The body was in amazing shape for that year of sled, not a one ounce of rust anywhere.

Question: The 440 motor was blown, and I heard that they were not a very good engine for that sled. I had two 377 motors from older sleds. One is a point ignition system, and the other one is the Ducati.

I took the rebuilt motor (Which is the point ignition) and used the Stator from the other engine (Ducati System). Now I have myself trying to find a way to hook them together.

Can anybody help me? I need to hook the generator cable from a point ignition system coil to a Ducati CDI/stator.

Did you also use the flywheel from the ducati motor?

So if you transferred: Stator, flywheel, and CDI over to the motor that was Points, it should work.

Note that the flywheel has 2 magnets for the trigger, every 180 degrees. I don't think the points flywheel will have that.
