I pulled the motor out of my 98 ZR 500 and thus drained all the coolant. When adding it back, how do I make sure that it goes throughout the engine? How much do I add and do I need to run it for a little while to get the coolant flowing? Thanks for your help.

Hey Mark, you'll want to lift the front of your sled about 2' and start filling, you'll have to squeeze the coolent hoses once in awhile to make sure it gets pushed everywhere. When it seems full drop the front end, start the sled and let it run for a few minutes then lift it again and check the level if its down add more. When its full, put about 2" in the overflow.

Great thanks. I hope to be heading out for a couple of putts this weekend. First of all I am hoping to have put my sled engine back together properly. I guess I will find out.

We're heading out tonight to the ranger station around 9:00pm if your up and running. We should be back around 2:00am.

If I am up and running, I wouldn't mind tagging along but I guess I will have to see how it going.
